AS ROBYN Brooks bravely fights for her life across the Atlantic, the battle to keep the money pouring in gathers pace this side of the water.
Celebrities converged on the Key 103 studios as DJ Adam Cole devoted his Friday afternoon show to raise cash as Robyns struggle with neuroblastoma - a rare form of cancer - intensifies.
Later that evening chart-topping heart-throb Gareth Gates met some of Robyns school-friends backstage at the Feel the Noise concert at the MEN Arena. And Atomic Kitten Liz McLarnon made another heartfelt appeal in aid of Robyn.
Earlier, stars from Coronation Street and Hollyoaks rubbed shoulders with boy-band 3SL and Popstars runners-up Liberty X to boost awareness of the six-year-olds plight, on the radio.

GARETH Gates met some of Robyn's friends to help the appeal
Tina OBrien, who plays Sarah-Louise Platt, and Bruno Langley, who plays Todd Grimshaw, managed to take time out from the cobbled streets of Weatherfield to add their support to the appeal.
Tina said: "The family have already raised £290,000, which is fantastic but its still not enough. If the cash runs out, the treatment stops, and Robyn comes home. Its as simple as that.
"If anyone is thinking about donating money or putting on a fund-raising event now is the time to stop thinking and do it."
Bruno added: "She is a beautiful little girl and deserves to be given the best chance she can to survive. Please give anything you can."

HOLLYOAKS' Alex Carter and Natasha Lund persuade boy band 3SL to get involved
Hollyoaks duo Alex Carter, who plays Lee Hunter, and Natasha Lund, who plays Eve Crawford, also paid a visit to Castle Quay in Manchester to help Robyn.
Alex said: "This is all about raising awareness. I live in Oldham and didnt know anything about Robyns fight up until a few weeks ago. We attended the white tie and diamonds ball at the Norton Grange which was amazing and managed to raise £14,000 for her. Robyn is doing her best in America and now its up to us to do our best for her."
Natasha added: "Weve said this before but if everyone in Manchester gave just £1 the family would have enough money to give her the treatment."
Speaking after the show Adam Cole said: "Life is a lot harder for the fund-raising team now because they have lost the face behind the appeal. Robyn is not in this country anymore so she cant collect cheques or meet people.
"But the family needs the money more than ever because her treatment has already started. The reaction we have had from the celebrities has been fantastic. They have always found the time to appeal on Robyns behalf.
"Being a parent myself, the worst situation you could ever find yourself in is watching your son or daughter undergo treatment, which will determine whether they live or die. It is important Robyn undergoes the full course of treatment to give her the best chance of survival."
